Fund-ItFund-It

A $10 donation disappears.
A thousand of them don't.

Fund-It pools every donation into one weekly fund. The community votes on where all of it goes.

Starting in Cincinnati.

Giving alone is inefficient.

Your giving is scattered

You give $10 here, $20 there, spread across a dozen causes over a year. Every gift is too small to fund anything by itself, and the trail goes cold the moment you check out.

And size cuts both ways

$1,000 to a nonprofit with a national advertising budget is a rounding error. To a local food pantry it is a month of meals. The same money does wildly different amounts of work depending on where it lands.

Fund-It concentrates scattered donations into one weekly fund, and puts the choice of where it lands to the people giving it.

Four steps, once a week.

  1. 01

    Nominate

Put a charity forward. Anyone can submit a verified 501(c)(3) by name or EIN, and the community shapes the ballot.

  2. 02

    Vote

Five charities go on the ballot each week. Cast one vote. It is free, it takes seconds, and no payment is required.

  3. 03

    Donate

Optional. Add any amount to the week’s pool. You are funding the winner, not one specific charity, and Fund-It takes no cut of it.

  4. 04

    See the receipt

When the week closes, the full pool goes to the winning charity and the PayPal receipt is published on the transparency page.

The rules that make it fair

Every charity verified

Every nonprofit on the ballot is validated by EIN against the CharityAPI database. Only verified 501(c)(3) organisations can appear.

100% to the winner

Every dollar in the pool goes to the charity with the most votes. Fund-It takes nothing out of it, and running costs are covered separately, never out of a charity’s money.

Live results

Watch the vote totals update in real time. See which charity is leading and how your vote shifts the standings.

No charity can dominate

After a win, a charity enters a 6-month cooldown and can win at most twice a year. Large, well-known organisations cannot occupy the ballot, so smaller causes get their turn at the pool.

You nominate

Anyone can nominate a verified non-profit. The community shapes the ballot and if a charity matters to you, put it forward!
